Circa 1789 smokehouse used to cure meat and fish. It is believed to have been part of the Jacob Gearhart homestead. Captain Jacob Gearhart, a "Revolutionary War patriot who secured boats for Washington's Crossing and wintered at Valley Forge." Smokehouse is located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey
