Three young Amish woman in the heartland of Amish farm country Pennsylvania, strolling barefoot shoes and purses in hand. They are probably my daughters age around 19 or 20. It's humbling to see how others live happily and simply in a close knit community.
I have always experienced life as though I was looking through a kaleidoscope. Forever changing images, no two alike, with each turn the colors and light presents something different. Natural light is very important to me and plays a big part of when and how I capture an image. The editing process and transformation of my work into digital art has been a satisfying part of my creative journey, often translating into a vintage and nostalgic feel reminiscent of Kodachrome with deep saturated colors. My images are an extension of my whimsical approach to life bringing more color, light and humor into the world. Thank you Michel. I did a little research and Amish Women and girls wear long dresses that are never shorter than calf length. The dresses may be in a variety of solid colors depending on the individual community, but are always covered with black or white aprons. According to Amish dress code, the hair of Amish women and girls must always be covered in public. Women wear white prayer caps, usually made of organza and stiffened with starch. In some communities, the caps are constructed of softer fabric, held on by strings tied under the chin.
